On April 4, 2011, the TTU Early Music Ensemble will present a production of Hildegard von Bingen's Ordo Virtutum. The "Ordo" is one of the first extant medieval dramas with music, and definitely a first for Lubbock. Don't miss this event!

"The Rolling Wave-Maritime Celts" - Legacy Events Center
On Sunday, April 18 at 7:00 PM in the Talkington Great Hall at the Legacy Event Center, some of our TTU Early Music Ensemble singers will join the Texas Tech University Celtic Ensemble (http://ttucelticensemble.com) for a concert entitled “The Rolling Wave: Maritime Celts”. Singers and players will perform dances, songs, listening pieces, and tunes associated with the Celtic experience around the watery globe and across the centuries. Students, families, and seniors are especially welcome.

Pastime and Prayer: A Musical Journey through "Olde" England -

Early Music from England: medieval songs, dance tunes, and beautiful sacred music of Tallis and Byrd, presented by the TTU Early Music Ensemble under the direction of Angela Mariani.
A noontime concert with choral music of Thomas Tallis and William Byrd, performed by members of Texas Tech Early Music Ensemble at St. Paul-On-The-Plains Episcopal Church.

Master Class for the recorder players in the Early Music Ensemble, with Norwegian recorder virtuoso Jostein Gundersen. The previous Monday evening, Jostein also joined our colleague, harpsichordist Sigurd Ogaard, for a fantastic guest artist recital with music by Telemann, Corelli, and Handel.
